Youth

Whaddon Way Church has always been active in children’s and youth work
WWC believes that its youth work should be done well, and we have supported the professional training at a local university of four people who intend to make a career in youth work.
WWC also invites the four local schools to presentations of the Christmas Cracked and Easter Cracked entertainments devised by the BridgeBuilder Trust which works in schools  to explain Christianity to young people.  At Christmas several hundred 10/11 year-olds are given a presentation that enables them to separate the essentials of the nativity from the commercial and traditional “fluff” that has stuck to it, and also made some mince-pies.  A similar number are provided with the Easter Cracked presentation.
As an ecumenical church, we often share activities with other local churches.  Over the last three years the teenagers have been involved with Hope MK, a partnership of churches from across Milton Keynes.  This organises a week of outreach and community support across the town during the Autumn half-term.

There is also an occasional “Messy Church” session.  Ask the Noah’s Ark team about that.
Friday evening 7:00pm: Friday Frenzy
This is the club for school years 7+, and it meets on Fridays from 7:00 – 9:00 at WWCC.   See the Friday Frenzy webpage for details about the programme.
Saturday morning 10:00am: Pebblestones
Pebblestones grew out of the Living Stones adult activity.  It offers assistance to those youngsters who struggle with reading, writing and simple mathematics.
Sunday Morning 10:30am: Junior Church
Welcome to Whaddon Way Junior Church. During the second half of the Sunday morning service we hold classes for children of all ages learning from the Bible in a fun and interactive way. We usually have three classes for different age groups and our sessions include drama, games and music.
Come along and join us, we look forward to meeting you!
