WHAT WE DO

Ministries inspired by the grace and love of God

Everything we do as a church is inspired and through the work of God within our members as a body. God is working through his body here at Whaddon Way to be servants to each other and the community. We hold onto our values and vision as we live this out.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
About Us

Ministries at Whaddon Way

We seek to share the love of Jesus in all that we do, and we want to bless our local community through the activities and events that we run as well as through our worship services.

Family

Families and children are welcomed and loved at WWC. We want to support our children and young people to develop a strong faith that will sustain them into adulthood. We know that the world places a lot of stresses on many children and young people and we want them to know the love of Jesus to help them through the difficulties. Supporting Parents We also want to support parents because we know that parenting can be tough, so we want to help you to find ways to grow your own faith and encourage and nurture the faith of your children.…

Prayer and Worship

Prayer is very important in the life of WWC. Regular prayer meetings take place on Sunday and Monday evenings, the Monday prayer group has a focus on prayer for healing. Prayer is also an important part of our services, we always pray together for church members, our local community, and world issues. After each Sunday morning service, a prayer team is also always available and we love to pray for individuals. We do not want anyone to be burdened by worry and we know that through prayer many of our concerns can be lifted by God.

Women’s Ministry

We are always looking for new ways to engage different members of the church. One of the most popular regular women’s ministries is our “Banner Group”, which meets every Monday morning from 10-12pm to sew banners and do other creative crafts. There is always tea and biscuits and sometimes cake. New people are always welcome and you do not have to be a church goer to come along.

Seniors Ministry

Time For You is a thriving club for older people which meets every Tuesday throughout the year. Some of our older friends are Christians, others aren’t, we care for them all regardless. Time For you has a varied programme of activities including excursions and speakers. Each week starts with refreshments and lots of chat before the scheduled activity. Lots of fun is had by attendees and volunteers alike.
