about our

Home Groups

Home groups offer a place to get to know other one another and to think about and discuss God’s word. There are currently four home groups which meet weekly, three in the evening and one in the afternoon. Two of these groups meet the Church building, and two at members’ homes.

Our youngest home group member is only 7 and our oldest is over 80.

Each week the starting point for the groups is a list of questions prompted by the previous Sunday’s sermon but the discussions sparked are wide-ranging and always interesting and encouraging. Prayer support for group members is also an important part of these get togethers.

In addition to the weekly meetings the home groups occasionally host social events to enjoy fellowship together in different ways.

If you would like to join a home group speak to Rev. Peter Landry.

The current home groups are:

Esther and Keith’s Group

The Tuesday evening Home Group meets from 7pm – 8.30pm in members’ homes.

Ken and Kathy’s Group

This group meets on a Tuesday Evening in the Church building.

David and Joy and John and Sue’s Group

This group meets every Wednesday afternoon in the Church building.

Sue, Les and Peter’s Group

This group usually meets at Sue and Les’s home in Furzton on a Tuesday evening.

about our

Community Projects

Whaddon Way Church loves the community around it and plays and shows that love through acts of service.
All our events are run by volunteers. Here are some of our regular activities:

A PASSION FOR

Prayer

Prayer is very important in the life of WWC. Regular prayer meetings take place on Sunday evenings during Spring and Summer, and on Mondays when Winter Night Shelter is in the building.

Prayer is also an important part of our services, we always pray together for church members, our local community and world issues.

After each Sunday morning service, a prayer team is also always available and we love to pray for individuals. We do not want anyone to be burdened by worry and we know that through prayer many of our concerns can be lifted by God.

For urgent prayer needs WWC has a prayer line for members to support those who need prayer and are happy for that need to be shared.

Supporting the church through

Financial Giving

Whaddon Way Church is able to do all that it does through the generous giving of members and visitors. Church members are encouraged to give through regular standing orders through an offering box that is available for those who prefer to give cash.
